My Official First Post - Rainy Day
Hey guys and welcome back to my blog! If you read my introduction post, I mentioned that I was going to include banana in the fictional stories I post.
If you did read that post, check it out by clicking here so you can get a feel of what my blog is going to be about :)
Here's my first story. Enjoy!
It's been raining all week and it's not stopping any time soon. It's on some kind of rain streak...FOR FIVE WHOLE DAYS.
That's longer than any streak I can ever keep.
I'm standing at my bathroom window (I don't know why), watching the rain pour down, hail the size of Ice's gross tennis ball pounding down on cars.
Ice is my kitten. I named him Ice because his fur is frosty white. I call him ice cream sometimes.
Only if he's been nice.
And by cars I mean my mom and dad's cars.
I watch my father's car get destroyed by the ice balls. Our garage is too crowded to fit the cars in.
We just moved here.
It's so hot here in Ontario, and it rains so much.
AND THE HUMIDITY. OH!
I'm better off in Toronto...Canada. Not California.
I'm still staring through the window when Ice brushes against my calf causing me to flinch. I break my stare contest and look down at Ice. He's been sleeping all day long.
I'm glad. My scratches are finally healing.
He's looking up at me. He looks so sad that I can't resist. I reach down for him.
"Awe, my poor baby," I wipe down his fur. He purrs.
"I've missed you Ice cream. Even though my scratches feel better, I still missed you."
I finally leave my bathroom with Ice in my arms.
As I walk past my bedroom door, I see my dad.
"Hey dad. Did you sleep well?" I'm walking towards him.
"Hey princess. I did sleep well, thank you for asking. I'm heading out to work early tonight." He kisses my forehead and I smile.
Ice jumps down from my arms and runs down the hall towards my little sister's room. I follow.
"Well, don't forget your umbrella," I call after him as he goes down the staircase.
"I've already got one love," He calls back.
"Good. I put an extra banana in your lunch bag, for your muscles, it'll help," I call down again.
For a moment, no reply and then, "OK thanks mother. I'm leaving now. Tell Macy, Gracie, and my wife I love them." And then he's gone.
My dad is so silly, but I love our relationship.
I should of mentioned the hail.

I hope you enjoyed my story! It's short and I feel like there should be something before and after it. But maybe I'll do that later.
Do you think I included ice cream and banana in the story well?
